Job Description

General Description

This position will support the Sales Manager in acquiring, tracking and communicating with sales prospects in a fast-paced mail house. This position will support the development and distribution of marketing and sales materials, and will provide clerical and administrative support to the Sales Manager.


Create job tickets for standard/bulk mail services, prepare estimates for services, create and maintain sales databases utilizing USPS addressing standards, compose correspondence, memos and reports, set up and maintain customer files, respond timely to customer inquiries, prepare documents and spreadsheets.

Education and Certification

High school diploma or GED required. Some college or related experience preferred. Personal initiative to increase technical and professional expertise desired.

Required to pass the USPS Mailpiece Quality Control (MQC) certification test within 90 days of hire.

Language and Communication Skills

Strong working knowledge of English grammar and spelling required. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal required. Comfortable communicating with customers, production staff, accounting staff and post office personnel by phone, letter or email. Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, and to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships.

Computer Skills

Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Excel, including spreadsheet functions, formatting documents, and directory structure. Comfortable with online research and internet protocols. Working knowledge of file sharing in a stand-alone computer environment.

Organization Skills

Strong project management skills, time management skills and attention to detail required. Ability to prioritize multiple projects and meet multiple deadlines daily. Must be proactive in identifying issues to be addressed and providing appropriate solutions to meet the customer’s need within tight deadlines.

Equipment Skills

Photocopier, fax machine, scanner, telephone, computer.
