General Description This position will be responsible for processing a variety of database file types in accordance with United States Postal Service regulations. This position will support the Data Processing/Variable Imaging Department in a fast-paced mail house. Duties Perform all database operations according to job ticket instructions. Education and Certification High school diploma or GED required. Some college or related experience preferred. Personal initiative to increase technical and professional expertise desired. Required to pass the USPS Mailpiece Quality Control (MQC) certification test within 90 days of hire. Language and Communication Skills Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, and to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal preferred. Comfortable communicating with customers and production staff by phone, fax or email. Computer Skills Working knowledge of file sharing in a stand-alone computer environment. Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Excel, including spreadsheet functions, formatting documents, and directory structure. Organization Skills Strong project management skills, time management skills and attention to detail required. Ability to prioritize multiple projects and meet multiple deadlines daily. Must be proactive in identifying issues to be addressed and providing appropriate solutions to meet the customerâ??s need within tight deadlines.
